Tish on Crypt Direct

After the wonderful dinner and wine last night we felt a little tired this morning and so we headed up to Quayfoot Buttress, Borrowdale for a short approach to a not too long climb.

Still yawning over the quide book, we decided on a couple of routes we’re familiar with: Mandrake (HVS); and The Crypt Direct (E1).

Half way up our second route Andy and Astrid Saxby sidled up, so we chatted for a bit while they climbed Aberration, and then we decided to call it a day, opting for a window shopping session around Keswick.
