Polldubh

After our long day on Ben Nevis, and with the long drive from Scotland to Cumbria ahead of us, we opted for the pleasant sunny rock climbing of Polldubh. The weather was more like summer than when I’ve been to Polldubh before in summer!

Not being up to much – our legs were knackered, and my thigh had a black, purple, yellow, and red bruise six inches across on it from the falling ice injury the day before – we settled for two classic VS climbs. Phantom Slab (above) and Resurrection (below).

  1. Yeah, it was hot, and the day before I’d been cold! It was was probably pretty cold on the north face this day too – oh, the power of that big bright thing in the sky…
